AYUSH SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME : 2016-17

 

   The Government of India is offering scholarships under the International Cooperation Scheme of the Department of AYUSH Scholarship Scheme to the eligible foreign students for the academic year 2016-17. Students who wish to pursue courses in Traditional System of Medicine in India can apply for this scholarship. The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) will administer this scholarship.

The AYUSH Scholarship Scheme covers the following courses in Traditional Systems of Medicine in India:

Under Graduate Courses

(i) Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine & Surgery (BAMS)
(ii) Bachelor of Siddha Medicine & Sciences (BSMS)
(iii) Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery (BUMS)
(iv) Bachelor of Homeopathy Medicine & Surgery (BHMS)

Post Graduate Courses

i.   M.D Ayurveda
ii.   MDSidha
iii.   MD Unani
iv.   MD Homeopathy

Ph.D Courses

Ph.D in Ayurveda
Elilgibility: MD (Ayurveda) degree

   The candidates are required to meet the following selection criteria: (i) the candidate should have the eligibility to apply for the course, (ii) should be proficient in English, and (iii) should not have serious health problems. Priority will be given to students who have never studied in India before. Applicants are also advised to do due diligence and research on the specific admission criteria laid down for the courses, and ensure that they submit all relevant documentation as required by the Colleges/Universities in addition to the certificates mentioned in the ICCR Scholarship Application Form.The candidate should have taken the following compulsory subjects at the qualifying examination level: Physics, Chemistry, & Biology, with minimum 50% marks in each subject.The minimum age to apply for these courses is 17 years, as on 1st October in the year of admission.

   The scholarship provides for Tuition Fees, Living Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Thesis and Dissertation Expenses, and Study Tour expense. To & Fro Air Fare will be provided to the students from the Capital of their country to international airport nearest to the institute.
