1. The High Commissioner of India to Canada H.E Vishnu Prakash, and Dr. Roseann O’Reilly Runte, President and Vice Chancellor of Carleton University signed an MoU for the establishment of a Chair in the field of Humanities & Social Sciences focused on India related studies at the Canada-India Centre for Excellence (CICE) at Carleton University, Ottawa, on 15th June 2016. The High Commissioner signed the MoU on behalf of ICCR.

2. Under the provisions of the MoU, Carleton University will host a visiting Professor in the capacity of a Chair in the field of Humanities & Social Sciences focused on India related studies for a four-month period during each semester.

3. The MoU will remain valid for a period of five years.
