India in the Travel and Vacation Show

India Tourism Toronto participated  in the Travel and Vacation show held on 25^th & 26^thMarch, 2017 at Shaw Centre, 55 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa.   It was a fabulous and informative event with stalls/booths of many Diplomatic Missions, Tour operators and Airlines.  High Commission of India, Ottawa's officers were also present with Director, India Tourism and other members.

The Incredible India pavilion was crowded throughout the day with a long queue at the free henna painting table.  Live Indian cooking demonstration sessions were well attended.  Ms Nettie Cronish, best selling cookbook author, showed how to prepare Indian delicacies - Apricot Lentil Soup and Basmati Rice & Coconut Milk Pudding.  Indian samosas distributed at the booth the second day were a big hit. 

The most interesting item for the ladies was the Indian bangles displayed prominently at the counter.

Great enthusiasm could be seen for trips to India amongst the visitors who were busy collecting tourism material.  Bestway Tours and Safaris (P) Ltd, Burnaby, TPI, Mississauga and Intersky Travels, Montreal joined India Tourism Toronto from Canada whereas AIZ Travels & Tours, Mumbai, Tamarind Global, Gurgaon Services International Ltd, New Delhi, came from India.
