Jeevan Jyoti Productions, Ottawa have been organising programmes of Indian artists in Ottawa to promote Indian arts and culture.   On March 24 this year, they organised a concert of Ms Indrani Mukherjee, an established vocalist from West Bengal who mastered classical singing at a very young age.  Ms Mukherjee was accompanied by her husband, Mr Apurba Mukherjee on tabla and by Mr Sanatan Goswami on harmonium.  She sang Raag jyog, tappa, thumri, bandish, bhajans and bengali unplugged song.  It was a spellbinding performance. 

       Despite inclement weather, it was a full house.  Second Secretary, Vishwa Nath Goel, represented the High Commission. 

       The concert will be broadcast by Rogers channel 22 shortly.
