Ugadi Celebrations by Ottawa Telugu Association

Ottawa Telugu Association celebrated Ugadi at Longfields Davidson Secondary School, Ottawa on April 22, 2017. The event included enthralling performances by students of Telugu school as well as the other members of the Telugu Community. Age was no bar. The programmes ranged from classical dances, music to skit and enacting part of the movie Bahubali. About 600 people participated, mostly in their traditional attire. The rich Telugu culture including culinary aroma was flowing all around.

Ontario Minister of Seniors Affairs, Hon. Dipika Damerla, MP for Nepean, Hon. Chandra Arya and Ontario Attorney General, Hon. Yasir Naqvi, graced the occasion. Second Secretary Vishwa Nath Goel represented the High Commission and addressed the gathering.
