Annual Day event of Mukul Hindi School, Ottawa

            Mukul Hindi School, Ottawa celebrated its 46th Annual function on June 17, 2017 in a splendid manner.  The students very commendably displayed their Hindi linguistic skills through an Indian cultural program.

             Started in 1971 by the wife of the then High Commissioner of India, Mukul Hindi School has successfully continued its mission to impart Hindi Language education and to provide an understanding of rich Indian culture and heritage. Mukul operates under the International Language Program of Ottawa Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) and is run by experienced Hindi teachers hired by the Board.  It has an active parent volunteer management committee that puts together various events throughout the school year, in close coordination with the teachers and OCDSB.

             High Commissioner H.E. Mr. Vikas Swarup was the chief guest at the event. He awarded trophies to this year's recipients of Seth Memorial Award and Neelesh Gupta Award and spoke on the importance of Hindi Language and its significance in the global economy. He also appreciated the contributions of Mukul Hindi School in promoting Hindi as well as Indian culture.

             The continuous support from High Commission of India was duly acknowledged by the Mukul management committee and teaching personnel. OCDSB was represented by the site Principal who also spoke highly about the role of High Commission of India in Mukul's activities.
