Come, be a part of the revival of Nalanda University
ADMISSIONS OPEN FOR 2015-16

The Nalanda University of India, was renowned as the greatest center of learning in the world, between the 5th and 12th centuries.

2. With the support of the international community the $500 million initiative to revive the University as a global centre of educational excellence has already taken off.The Nalanda University (NU)was established in November 2010 by a Special Act of the Indian Parliament - a testimony to the important status that NU occupies in the Indian intellectual landscape. Nalanda is a standalone international university,located in the town of Rajgir, in the northern state of Bihar and has been designated an "institution of national importance".

3. The University was formally inaugurated by the External Affairs Minister on 19 September 2014. NU's Schools of Historical Studies and Ecology & Environment Studies, housed in a temporary campus, are soon going to complete their first year of teaching.
