Cine Musiq Octane with Chithra

Ottawa Sangeet organised Cine Musiq Octane in Ottawa on September 09, 2017 at Algonquin Commons Theatre. Legendary singer Ms. K.S. Chithra was invited from India along with another singer Mr. Nishad. This was the first time for both of them to come to Ottawa. Padam Shri Smt. K.S. Chithra, also known as "Little Nightingale" entertained the attendees with the best of her songs. She sang in many languages like Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.

The event also showcased a few dances by the local performers and music ensemble of the group of Siva Chokalingam (fondly known as Flute Siva), founder and director of Ottawa Sangeet. It was a full house show and one could witness the involvement of the audience who made specific song requests to the artists. All proceeds were donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Second Secretary Vishwa Nath Goel represented the High Commission and addressed the gathering.
