Extension of the last date of 34th KIP and inclusion of new partner State

1. The last date of submitting applications for 34th KIP has been extended to 22th July 2015. Thiruvanathapuram (Kerala) has also been included as proposed Partner State.

2. Broad terms and requirements

  • KIP is open to youth of Indian origin (and NOT Indian passport holders) in the age group of 18-26 years, who are selected for the programme;
  • Full hospitality in India will be provided during the duration of the programme;
  • 90% (ninety percent) of the total cost of air ticket (lowest economy excursion fare) is refundable to the participants on successful completion of KIP by the High Commission / Consulate General of India; 
  • Minimum qualification - Graduate or studying for graduation;
  • The applicant should not have participated in a previous KIP or Internship Programme for Diaspora Youth (IPDY);

3. All applicants need to apply in the prescribed format (http://moia.gov.in/writereaddata/pdf/Application_Form_KIP(21-10-14).pdf ) to the High Commission or Consulate General of India (as per details below), by the due date, along with (i) an essay of 250 to 300 words on why they want to participate in KIP and what they expect to gain from it; &(ii) a recent passport size photograph.
