Melodious tribute to Mother India by a proud Indo-Canadian Ms. Shweta Subram

  ‘Losing myself, in my ancestral home … the land of India’ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0l1PPS0Um6g ) is a lilting musical tribute to mother India by Shweta Subram, an eclectic Bollywood playback singer and independent artist from Canada. She’s the youngest vocalist of Indian origin to have performed at the esteemed Carnegie Hall in New York. She was also honoured as South Asian of the Year 2015 by Zee TV Canada.

  Shweta made her debut in Bollywood early this year with AyushmannKhurrana for the title track ‘Dil-E-Nadan’ for the movie ‘Hawaizaada’. Prior to this, Shweta was selected to perform at the IIFA Awards 2011 in Toronto alongside Bollywood musicians Salim-Sulaiman. In addition, Shweta has collaborated with popular names such as The Piano Guys and Shankar Tucker. Her video with The Piano Guys went viral and has recently crossed 11.5 million views.   Shweta has headlined various concerts and festivals across North America, the Caribbean, Middle East, and Asia. Her powerful voice and electrifying stage presence leave the audience spellbound. She is also the recipient of multiple awards such as Best Singer in North America by Sangam Kala Group and Global Best Singer awarded through the Shankar Mahadevan Academy, judged by Shankar Mahadevan himself.
