Relaxations to OCI Cardholders

OCI Card holders who obtained their OCI cards before the age of 20 years and subsequently have been issued a new Passport after completing 20 years of age are rquired to get the OCI Card re-issued with the new Passport number.

In view of Covid-19 pandemic, to avoid inconvenience to such OCI cardholders, Government of India has waived the requirement for re-issuance of OCI Cards in such cases until 31^st December 2022.

Such OCI cardholders will be allowed to travel to India on the strength of their existing OCI cards bearing old passport number subject to the condition that the OCI cardholder will have to travel along with their new passports.
