Gharana Arts, Ottawa presented Ottawa Rhythm Festival on July 14, 2017 in Ottawa. The main attraction was the Kathak adaptation of Sleeping Beauty, a journey where an Indian Art Form interpreted a western story culminating in a cross cultural concept. The production was one of its kind, choreographed by Mrs. Kasturi Mishra, Artistic Director at Gharana Arts. Music was composed by her husband Shri Ravi S.K. Singh.

                 The first half of the festival was dedicated to Bollywood workshops and performances by Indonesia, African, South Indian and Japanese drummers. The event was a treat to watch and the auditorium was full to the capacity.

                 Second Secretary Vishwa Nath Goel represented the High Commission.
